Project Description Summary

In 1998 and 1999, the marina's grab dredger was used to dredge the marina berths.

The sediment was placed into a barge before being broken down into a slurry and pumped into the recharge area.

A total of around 10,000 tonnes (approx. 8,000m³) per year were used in 1998 and 1999.

In 2001 there was further recharge to raise the bed level for saltmarsh plant development; a 60-80cm vertical overburden was placed in saltmarsh channels.

During 2002 and 2007 more material was recharged of fluid dredged material was placed on site. These were retained using Clay Bunds.
