Project Description Summary

This project included an inlet sluice:

3 culverts in sluice: 1.1m wide x 0.75m each, 12.75m long, invert at 4.8mTAW (~MHWN; ~-1.1mMHWS), max. flow velocity: 0.52m/s

Outlet sluice: 1.4m wide x 1.5m, 40.2m long, invert at 1.5mTAW

Average water exchange volume: neap tide: ~4,000m³ (none on the lower neap tides), spring tide: ~40,000m³

Max. flow velocity: 0.45m/s

As part of this scheme an artificial creek was dug (at inlet sluice level, connecting it with the existing polder ditch); dike ring channel subdued to avoid short circuiting.
