This involved the installation of a culvert with storm surge barrier: ~35m wide (two chambers, each 13m wide) & 8.5m high; invert at -2.6mNN (approx. -4.5mMHW); max. fill volume: 2,000,000m³.
As part of this scheme artificial creeks were dug; a 50m wide strip fronting state protection dike was raised to avoid water logging.
