Project Description Summary

This project involved the construction of new defence to landwards (along railway track), the original defence naturally breached through erosion soon after (knew defence was in a bad state, so built landward defence).

As the new defence/road cut off the sea trout migration into Cone Pill brook, the Environment Agency installed a Self Regulating Tide gate as a fish pass, which now allows tidal exchange on the springs. Farmer is still farming/draining the land.
